Welcome to the GriffithLSA Website,
Now in our 15th year, the Griffith University Law Students’ Association (GriffithLSA) is more ready than ever to face the challenges ahead of us.
This year we’ve announced a new name, a new logo, a new website and a renewed commitment to ensuring that law students, no matter where they come from, have the same opportunities to succeed.
With our new website we are providing students with a simple way to engage with us – directly accessing publications, sign-up forms for events and information on what we offer to their heart’s desire.
This year we’re trying new things.
From our weekly LSA Seminars dedicated to developing key legal skills, through to brand-new All-Age Events, so that those who are under 18 can experience our legendary social events, and the long-awaited inclusion of EFTPOS facilities ensuring the sanity of our members by avoiding the long walk to ATMs - as we grow, so do the opportunities for us to help our members.
Yet, as things change – some stay the same.
Our Start-of-Semester Event is ready to rock the minds of members in week 3. Not to mention the Pub Crawls, Maurice Blackburn Charity Cocktail Night, Law Ball and more.
Our Competitions team prepare to test the skills of those who dare enter open competitions as our very own 2013 Australian-Champion Client Interviewers now prepare to take on the world. Who will represent us at the ALSA Conference 2013 in Perth? This question will be answered in the results of our Open Competitions starting in week 4
Our Educaion team work tirelessly on the soon-to-be-released 2013 Careers Guide, DLA Piper LLB Guide and lie in wait to provide you with the Electives and Honours Guides you’ve come to love.
This is an epic time for GriffithLSA. Get involved. Embrace the opportunities we provide. You can find us in G36_ 2.53 from 10AM-4PM. Come in and see us! We’ve got free tea and coffee!
Thank you for reading, thank you for visiting our website, and thank you for being a part of the past, present and future of the LSA.
Dale Mitchell
GriffithLSA President
