Women’s bursaries (NCWQ)
The National Council of Women of Queensland Inc generally offers around 34 bursaries a year for female students. These applications generally open in March and close in May, but you should check the dates against each bursary on the website. There are various criteria that apply for each individual bursary, but the following are indicative of some of the criteria used for some of the bursaries:
Living in a disadvantaged area, or regional or rural Queensland
Identify as indigenous or LGBTQ+
Have a disability or mental illness
Have a passion for volunteering
Increasing skills in leadership and governance to prepare for board membership
These criteria are only some of the bursaries on offer by NCWQ. You can view specific bursary criteria on their website.
